Future Archive gathered a selection of furniture and accessories at the Biennale Interieur 2016. We were invited by Baroness O., a Brussels based creative studio, to create a visual installation highlighting different pieces from the selection.
the mission
As one of the creatives, we were invited to stay true to ourselves but go wild on ideas. We mounted a one day study to research the social, personal and financial value of the new objects from the reigning trends for 2017. As the objective value of these objects is already known and determined by the designer, it is the subjective value that makes clear if this design will endure the test of time.
the results
We asked the visitors to communicate their value judgement by assigning different sticker values to the design objects. We created a variety of stickers in different sizes, colours and textures to visually answer the questions we would ask them. Every product, unique and designed by some really great designers, were minimised to an abstract imprint shape of the design and restrained by a uniform label stripping its unique quality.
