Located on the fifth floor of the Royal Library (KBR) in Brussels, with its stunning view and beautiful retro interior, Albert was born to stand out as a historic new hotspot. With Filip from Witlof running the kitchen pass, his passion for cooking and cultural events, it was only natural that during the summer, Albert Culture was created as their artistic side project.
the mission
We were tasked with developing a brand identity which not only defined Albert but also reflected its home within the KBR. Additionally, serving organic, seasonal and natural farm-to-fork dishes & carefully selected drinks it was imperative we played the same close attention to our intentions in visualising the already foundational ideology established within the heart of albert.
the results
Reimagining the colour palette of the KBR for Albert was our first step in establishing harmonious individuality between the brands. This was not only implemented in web and print but also across the interiors through our collaboration with Agmen. Areas are defined within the space through colour blocking and add a pop of joyful modernity to the suave “Mad Men” furnishings. The logo set in a lowercase serif lends an approachable feeling to the otherwise serious and quiet mentality within a library. Albert may serve refined and impeccable food in a stately setting but it is for everyone, and no one will shush you for having fun.
